  Details: As demand for fresh water continues to increase, so too does the demand for reliable groundwater. The ability to optimally use groundwater is affected by many factors including water quality, overdraft, and operations. This workshop is designed to provide operators and managers of small systems a primer on groundwater operations and maintenance principles and practices including: • Aquifer types • Well parts description and purpose • Understanding a well driller’s log • Basic operations and maintenance • Steps that can be taken to avoid well failure Cost: Free, w/ priority given to smaller water systems. Qualifies for two contact hours. In order to receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered and complete an online survey at the end of the training. IMPORTANT: Failure to attend three online workshops for which you reserved a seat (and did not cancel) in any six-month period will disqualify you from attending online workshops in the following six-month period. PLEASE CANCEL A MINIMUM OF 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE TO ALLOW OTHERS TO ATTEND THE TRAINING.
