PFAS Chemical Action Plan stakeholders, The Chemical Action Plan (CAP) team is extending the public comment period on the Draft PFAS CAP until January 4, 2021. We received stakeholder feedback that additional time to review would be beneficial for providing meaningful input. We recognize the immense challenges that Washington state residents and businesses have faced since spring 2020. On Friday January 17th, Whidbey Island Water Systems Association held a special member meeting to discuss the draft changes to WAC 246-290 and to agree on comments to be submitted on behalf of the membership during the informal comment period ending January 31st, 2020. Comments were discussed and approved unanimously by the water system representatives in attendance.
