Theme of this Meeting: DOH and Island County Update
This quarter’s topic is an update from the DOH Office of Drinking Water, Northwest Regional Office, and Island County Environmental Health and Drinking Water programs. Both agencies have had personnel changes, with some familiar faces and some new ones in new roles. Look for updates on rule making, especially around PFAS. Your board has a number of questions for the panelists, but there will be plenty of time for audience questions!

This quarter’s topic is a panel discussion on the different ways in which water systems are governed. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of each type, covering operation and maintenance, governance, rate setting and opportunities for customer involvement.

THEME OF THE MEETING: The State Board of Health is drafting changes to the Washington Administrative Code 246-290, the Group A rule, and has extended the informal comment period through January 31st 2020. The changes are summarized here.
