Below is the bulletin we sent earlier this month.
The State Board of Health invites you to comment on proposed changes to chapter 246-290 WAC, Group A Public Water Supplies and chapter 246-390 WAC, Drinking Water Certification and Laboratory Data Reporting.  The proposed revisions to the Group A rule improve public health protection by setting a regulatory standard for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The proposed revisions to the Lab rule provide specific PFAS reporting requirements and makes technical and editorial changes.
The Department of Health is accepting written comments on both rules through September 3, 2021. The proposed rule revisions, comment submittal, and public hearing information, as well as other supporting documents for both rules are on the Office of Drinking Water Rulemaking website
